A RICH HERITAGE

NATURE IN SERVICE OF CULTURE

Hotel de Rougemont and Spa is positioned above Rougemont's pride and joy - the romanesque 11th century church built by the monks of the Cluny order. For the past millenium, the villagers preserved their rich lifestyles in their beautifully decorated wooden chalets. They cultivated the land, made traditional crafts and perpetuated culinary arts such as the 'tomme de Rougemont' - tasty symbol of the village. You will be plunged into a thousand year-old culture.

The region is also very attractive for it's numerous sporting activities: hiking, mountain biking, the "GolfClub Gstaad Saanenland" whose course has an awe-inspiring view. And, do not forget major events such as the Suisse Open Gstaad, the Hublot Polo Gold Cup, the International Balloon Festival in Chateau d'Oex, the Menuhin Festival and the Volleyball World Tour.

SUMMER

A MOUNTAIN HOTEL FOR YOUR SUMMER HOLIDAYS IN SWITZERLAND

In the summer, the area is an ideal starting point for hikers, mountain-bikers and paragliders. The Gruyère Pays-d’Enhaut regional nature reserve is also worth a detour, and the Rubli will delight climbers. For those who are nostalgic, the GoldenPass Belle Epoque train with its retro bodywork will transport you back in time with its romantic carriages, reminding you of the pomp of the golden age of trains.

The Rougemont - Videmanette eight-seater gondola carries its passengers to the summit in only ten minutes. Skilled rockclimbers will enjoy the Rüblihorn near the upper station. Many walking paths and hiking trails meander through the Swiss Highlands.

For pic-nic lovers, the banks of the Sarine offers numerous shady and welcoming spots to relax and spend time with family or friends.

WINTER

A MOUNTAIN HOTEL FOR WINTER SPORTS IN SWITZERLAND

In winter, the Videmanette includes numerous slopes for skiing and snowboarding. From the Videmanette, a splendide view over the Gstaad Dolomites opens up. About 250 kilometres of slopes lead from Rougemont to Gstaad via Saanen. The longest descente to Rougemont (10km) drops 1200 metres.

Rougemont is a charming and elegant winter sports resort. The region is part of one of the most beautiful ski areas in Switzerland, comprising 250km of slopes and 58 lifts. The eternal snows of the Diablerets Glacier 3000 make of it a year-round ski paradise.
